Vacation at the Zoo:

Wake up to the call of the peacocks, stretch a bit, and watch the lively zebra mongooses from the window. After a leisurely breakfast, head straight to the zoo—there’s so much to discover here! Get up close with the animals, enjoy the morning silence in the hayloft—interrupted only by birdsong and the contented chewing sounds of the camels—pet rabbits, brush goats, and explore the discovery barn... or spend half an hour helping the zookeepers with their daily feeding rounds and watching them at work (more information and scheduling upon arrival).

After an exciting morning, your appetite will kick in. For lunch, the “Futterkiste” offers delicious meals made from regional organic products. On the sun deck with a panoramic view of the Tibetan Village and the adjacent milk playground, potato wedges and other treats taste twice as good.

In the afternoon, the public animal feedings are on the schedule. During an informative guided tour or an exclusive animal encounter with the kangaroos or red pandas, you’ll learn a lot about the lives of the zoo animals behind the scenes.

After this action-packed day, the sofa at your vacation home beckons. Before everyone falls into bed, happy and exhausted, there’s still a short stroll through the park in the late afternoon to say good night to all the animals.
