Good location, but far too expensive for its limited use, size, condition and standard of equipment

The location was fine and broadly what we expected, and the air conditioning was good, and the place was generally characterful.

The biggest issue was the misleading impression created by the listing. The photos showed the characterful mezzanine master bedroom overlooking the living room, but when we arrived there was a sign and a board blocking the stairs because guests weren’t allowed to use it. While the listing never explicitly said that bedroom was included, it also didn’t make clear that it was unavailable, and there were no photos showing the restriction. Given the way the property was presented (“entire home”), it was easy to assume that this was one of the bedrooms available to guests, so discovering that it wasn’t was a disappointment. The property also felt poorly equipped and rather run-down for the price. The kitchen was old and had too few cups, bowls and glasses. The bathroom was tired. Neither of the two very small bedrooms we could use had a bedside table or bedside light, meaning the only lighting was a fairly stark overhead bulb, which isn’t really acceptable at $400+ per night. The living room was also dark, with most of the bulbs in the main light fitting not working, while the old fridge was noisy as it repeatedly switched on and off during the night. There were also visible cobwebs around one of the beds, as well as old food litter in the drink holders of the sofa, so while the property wasn’t generally dirty, it hadn’t been cleaned to the standard you’d expect for the price. Overall the combination of the use restriction, dated condition and equipment made it very poor value for money at the price we paid.

Nice and comfy stay. Liked walking through the neighborhood and central location to other places in Tahoe.

Great location. Super duper comfortable beds which I really appreciate and it’s great owners tho I of good mattress. Loved the space and the admin people were very helpful.

They can go better in that slope from parking the car and coming down to the house. I mean invest some money in that. Also on your patio table. That patio table is gone get a new one.
