Uninhabitable property and absolute lack of support from Booking.com – DO NOT BOOK!

Nothing.

We had an absolutely dreadful experience with this property and Booking.com. Upon arrival, the place was completely uninhabitable due to extreme, hazardous levels of dirt and filth. It was an immediate health risk, and we could not stay there for even a single night. We took photographic evidence immediately and contacted both the host and Booking.com right away. The host completely disappeared—they ignored all our messages, refused to answer calls, and provided absolutely no solution or alternative. To make matters worse, Booking.com’s customer service failed us entirely. We called them multiple times from the property, pleading for emergency relocation, but they left us completely stranded at night. Even though Booking.com admitted the host was ignoring their own repeated calls and requests for a free cancellation, they refused to help us or protect us as customers. We were forced to leave immediately and pay out of our own pockets for a different hotel to avoid being left on the street. Now that the trip is over, Booking.com is still refusing to refund our money, actively protecting a scam host over an honest customer. This is a total breach of contract and a shameful lack of mediation. Save your money, your safety, and your peace of mind—avoid this property and be very careful with Booking.com's non-existent customer protection.

Very disappointed by the state of the apartment.

Not much. The shower seemed new and in working condition and the beds were okay. The owner tried to solve our problems but since she is not in town the help wasn't really successful and effective.

Everything in the apartment was worn down and not functioning well. Upon our arrival, it turned out that the key was already handed to someone else as there was a double booking for the night. When we could finally occupy the apartment, there was a disgusting smell coming from the kitchen area. It is written that there is a washing machine but it's not connected to the pipes and therefore isn't functional. The dishwasher doesn't have a cover and falls out of its place if you pull out the top drawer. The taps keep running when you close them and the one in the bathroom doesn't have a filter so water is splashing everywhere when you use it. Lights flashing in the kitchen after some time, sockets attached to the wall by scotch, falling out of the wall in the living room when you pull the plug out. WiFi not functioning after the first night.

Nice appartment, ok stay, could be organised better

The apartment is big, perfect for four people. The beds are comfortable and it is all well equiped for a nice stay.

It was a pity that we had to wait for an hour to get the keys (they offered us to have dinner for free in the pizzeria of his friend, which was nice) but the truth is, we were very tired from the whole day travelling that we only wanted to go to rest. Not only that, but after a while when we got the keys we couldn`t have a shower because there were no towels at all. After a lot of insisting we got the towels, but that was already at midnight and they were only hand towels. We had also problem with the parking. Nobody showed us where to park, so we had to manage that on our own and at the end we got a message from a neighbour that our car was in his parking place. The owner excused herself and wanted to give us a refund, which at the end did not happen. I think it could be a nice stay but with a bit more organisation.

Comfortable and good location, cleanliness issue.

Rooms were big and spacious and it was a comfortable stay with everything provided. Kitchen was well equipped. The tram is just a minute walk from the apartment and a quick trip to the main city so it was very convenient for us. The area is peaceful and has a supermarket and a few restaurants around. The host was good and responsive, provided us with whatever we needed.

On arrival, we did find an unpleasant and unhygienic item left in the cupboard, which was disappointing. The host was a sweet lady, apologised and gave us a very small refund, but it did affect our first impression. With a bit more attention to detail and better cleaning it can be a good stay.
