An amazing experience- after getting in to the majestic but very run down chateau( initially thought we must be in the wrong place) we found the quirky and delightful Hogwarts apartment. The decor was all Harry Potter including a set of robes. A very clean and comfortable and quiet place.
The rest of the building is mouldy and run down. No hot water in the kitchen

Plenty of parking space and elevator to the 2nd floor. Impressive building with grandstaircase. Convenient location for travelling, good instructions and easy access to the appartment. We were able to book at last minute ...but this had a downside. If you are a fan of Harry Potter then you will love this "themed" space with a look out tower and quirky coloured bedroom lighting!
The assumption that we would share a bed. We booked the appartment ( around 17hrs ) precisely because it had a sofa-bed as well as bedroom- and as miother and daughter travelling together, we preferred separate sleeping spaces. Our host called fairly quickly after we booked to say that there was no bedding for the sofa-bed and that it was too late to provide any. Surely it would be sensible to leave out additional bedding? Not even couples necessarily want to share a bed ! Despite the assumption that 2 people would always share the bed, there was in fact no side table or lamp on one side of the bed and the electric socket didnt work ...perhaps because it was located about 30 centimetres from the rather large jacuzzi bath placed in the bedroom !! The busy road infront of the Chateau is quite noisy .... a bread knife or couple of sharp knives in the kitchen would be useful.
