If you like cock roaches and dirt then this is the place to be!

Nice location and pool is great.

Island Realty is advertising properties from this residence. We booked three weeks in Akoya 17 in January 2026 and were quite disappointed. When we arrived the cleaning of the place was not yet finished - not a big deal. However, once the cleaning personnel was done, the apartment was far from clean: the floor was dirty, the dishwasher had to be emptied by us, dirty bed sheets, filthy spices etc. Also, one room was missing the remote for the A/C which rendered it unusable. We also encountered on multiple days a couple of large cock roaches in the master bedroom. There was also a water leak under the sink of the master bedroom. Overall, the place looks a bit run down and is need of some investment. I asked for a refund and was promised a refund of roughly 10 percent of the stay which was fine for us. However, it was not issued on the day promised. The next day I increased the pressure on them saying I would post negative reviews if I don't receive the proposed refund. Then I was being literally called a liar and that 1 am just using the platform to get a refund. Absolutely unacceptable and I would stay far away from this place if I were you. We visited Mauritius multiple times in the past and never had such a bad experience on the island.

We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, scenic, and stress-free stay.

The apartment was beautifully maintained, spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay.

A small suggestion for future guests: it would be great to have beach towels provided in a bag, as well as a cooler box to take to the beach. A pair of scissors in the kitchen would also be useful, and we noticed that a hairdryer was not available. Otherwise, everything was lovely and well thought out.
