Prospect Berkshires

Brilliant location, staff, facilities, and cabins. Really a very beautiful area with lots to explore and do. The food at the restaurant is fantastic.

We stayed here for a week and we found the F&B component did not meet our expectations. The cabins are not equipped for you to do any self catering and the restaurant is great for breakfast but is not open during the week for lunch, and evenings it tends to be booked up with locals. This means you need to travel offsite quite frequently to eat. Given the above, we had flown in from London and then driven from JFK to this location with our daughter only to be told we couldn't eat on site (consider we'd been in transit for over 12 hours at this point) and we had to go to Great Barrington to eat. Wouldn't given us any recommendations of where to go and that it was "fine" as only a 10 minute drive away - this for us was incredibly disappointing as was effectively our first interaction with the property. We also received mixed messages around breakfast - we had been tipping at breakfast for the first few days only to be told later that the price we had been paying included taxes and tips already so we had effectively been double tipping up until that point.

Everything!

Nothing

Wonderful location, beautiful place.

During our stay the bar at the pool wasn’t open, which was too bad. It’s only open thursday to sunday. Also, there was construction work on a new building with trucks riding back and forth and loud noises every now and then. But these are details because the place is that beautiful and calming. Wonderful lake where you can boat and paddle. Tennis and pickleball court. Beautiful saunas by the lake. Would come back here any time.

New and clean cabins. Facilities looked great but rainy weather prevented us from taking advantage.

Service was okay. We stayed three nights and no cleaning service unless requested between 10-2. Requested extra coffee and minimal was given without creamer.
