Great location & balcony, inside could do with a little TLC.

Location was central and handy for visiting different areas of Madrid. Balcony was great and nice space to have.

Access to the building was always a challenge, the app access never worked to the building entrance and the key took a couple minutes to open every time you needed to be in, like it wasn’t cut correctly. The app worked fine on the apartment door but I always took the physical key. The “2nd bedroom” was a partion to the living room will a fold out bed, not comfortable at all. Certain finishes in the apartment weren’t the best, water damaged ceiling, covers missing from a lot of lights which left live parts exposed. Noisy outside early in the morning but mainly because of the central location so no issues there.

During our first evening stay at the apartment, it began to rain as we walked to a local restaurant. By the time we returned from the restaurant around 23:00 to the apartment the rain had leaked from ceiling windows so much that the kitchen counter top, the kitchen floor, the living room floor and the hallway floor had steams and puddles water. This included a steam of water into the bathrooms too. We needed to take all of the cooking pans from the kitchen to try to catch water from a number of streams coming from the ceiling. Constant toweling of the water from these areas did little to help the situation. We had to make sure that both our belongings and any electrical device in the apartment were kept dry. On contacting the apartment management company that evening, they stated that there was nobody available to help due to the late hour. They did offer another apartment, but once again given the late hour and the need for us to repack everything, we choose to keep dry in the bedrooms for the night and deal with the mess in the morning. In the morning, after having to reach out to the management company again, there was no offer from them to fix the problem. We needed to wait until after 11:00 to get answers to our questions since the manager was not available until this time. After spending our last full day in Madrid, the management did arrange a taxi to move us to a different apartment at 17:30. This other apartment was located on the ground floor with only the front door separating us from a very noisy street. The apartment had no windows with a view and had lots of street noise during the night. At my request for compensation, the management company only offered 25% off and a 15% discount on my next stay. I had requested not being charged for the first night due to the mess the leak had created and the need to relocate.

Difficult from start to finish. Poor communication, attitude from staff and not what we paid for.

There really wasn't anything that we enjoyed about the property, as we were moved to a different location from what we reserved, which was much smaller and not in the same location.

For some reason this property was not available the day before we arrived for our reservation. They moved us to a MUCH smaller apartment, north of the Gran Via. Communication was horrendous. Refused to give us a discount. The keys were at a different location than the property. The keys did not work well to enter the building. Some locals knew of this problem from others who had stayed at this location and helped us get into the property. Instructions should be clearer as to how to use the keys. The property was small and difficult to walk through. The bathroom was so tiny, our knees touched the wall when we used the toilet.
