The included secure parking was a major bonus for me. Mantra Parramatta is very close to Parramatta Train Station, if you need to travel by train. Also Westfield's is also in walking distance. The bathroom in the unit is very spacious, with almost instant hot water. The bed was comfortable with plenty of room in the bedroom. Having a full size fridge is also welcome if you're planning a few days stay and needing to prepare your own meals, instead of eating out for all meals.

Let's start with the poor communication prior to check-in. I sent 3 messages, the day before and the morning of check-in. NO acknowledgement of these enquiries. Absolutely nothing. So, I thought I'd call the number provided on booking.com. That number connects to no one. At this point, I was so close to calling booking.com and reporting that I had been scammed and had already chosen Plan B. The only thing that stopped me was an Airbnb chat with another unit at Mantra, and they suggested that perhaps I'd get a msg at check-in time. Re amenities at the unit. I had to msg 'management' that there was no TV remote, nor any instructions for the wifi. That was attended to straight away. Then I discover that there's no free-to-air TV channels tuned to the TV. I did open 9Now on the TV and surprise: Nothing! So, I spent 3 nights watching Free to Air TV on my phone. In the kitchen, dishwashing liquid was supplied and a tea towel. Well clearly, 'management' haven't done any washing up, cause they'd realise you need a Sponge and/or cloth to wash the dishes. I ended up buying my own. Re the aircon. You need to put the temp down to 17 to feel some sense of cool. You definitely need to remove the doona from its cover for sleeping. By the way, there was no top sheet, which would have been ideal to sleep under, cause that is all you'd need. The doona cover was too warm. While on the topic of the bedroom, the wardrobe needs replacing. The doors are falling apart, leaving debris on the floor. And there are no drawers to store clothes. So, be prepared to live out of your suitcase. Unless your happy to put clothes on the floor. Note, I keep referring to 'management'. The place is managed by an accommodation business. So if you think your host is a person you can call by name: nup. And I wouldn't be surprised if messages are managed by a bot. Would I stay here again? No.

Good location, convenient and free onsite parking, pool and spa were nice, friendly host, very comfortable bed and very clean

Only thing was that we could not find the tv remote for the loungeroom tv and our key card didnt work at first for the door but the host fixed the key up right away :)

The property is an easy few minutes walk from the train station (as long as one comes out of the right exit). The building itself is not clearly numbered. To note that the flat is part of a hotel building that is separately managed. The host was present at the location to check me in. The property has a spacious living area and is well ventilated. There are sufficient sockets for any electric gadgets. The air conditioner panel was clear and the conditioner worked well during my stay. The bathroom is also a very good size.

There wasn't much in the way of instructions about things such as the use of the swimming pool, disposal of bins, supplies, etc. There was no offer of a change of bedding or cleaning for the 10 days I spent there. The kitchen had one sachet of dishwashing liquid, which would clearly not last long. There was also just one sachet of laundry powder although I did not use the washing machine on this occasion. The bathroom had no holder for a shower gel. I had a complaint relating to my request. I raised the complaint early in the morning, about 6am and was told someone will be coming to check it out. For this reason I waited around but no one showed up until I requested an update 10 hours later! However, the guy that did come was excellent and was able to solve the issue with determination. Top guy! So overall, the property itself is OK but the management seemed too complacent. Otherwise this could have been an excellent rating. Improvements are needed.
