About this villa rental

The apartment in the old tower is an elegant and spacious place to stay for 2 to 4 people. The apartment is characterized by its unique architecture, which preserves the historic structure. It consists of an open space of approximately 95 square meters, divided into two areas separated not by doors but by old stone arches.
The apartment has been renovated with hardwood floors and exposed beams, giving it a unique charm. The renovation has transformed the old house into a very comfortable and elegant living space that can be both soothing and inspiring.
The apartment (95 sqm) is divided into two large rooms. One room houses the well-equipped kitchen and the dining area.
The other room features a spacious double bed, an armchair, and a workspace. The apartment is fully furnished: in addition to central heating, we of course provide internet access, a washing machine, and all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay.
The apartment is suitable for couples or families with children, but not for groups.
Outside, there is a veranda with a pergola, from which you can enjoy the magnificent panoramic views and sunsets.
The price includes water, electricity, and gas (gas for heating is billed separately based on consumption = €1.10 per liter).
The house is located in the middle of a nature reserve and is approximately 3 km from the village of Castelleone and 7 km from Deruta.Villa Bianconi is an old, secluded stately estate surrounded by olive groves, forests, and unspoiled nature, nestled in the green hills of Umbria.

The house dates back to the 14th century, when it was used as a watchtower due to its unique panoramic views. Over time, several structural changes were made, and the annex was built in this century.

The nearest small village, Castelleone, is about 3 km away, so you can enjoy an extraordinary sense of peace and quiet here. It is an oasis amid the hustle and bustle of everyday life, where you can relax and unwind. Nature is ever-present and unspoiled; wonderful sunrises and sunsets paint the sky, and the view stretches unusually far. Your breathing deepens, and the silence—interrupted only by birdsong—brings peace and focus to everyone. You won’t want to stop admiring the panorama. A natural yet extraordinary spectacle.
There are many walking and hiking trails in the immediate vicinity, and the countryside is a delight to explore by bike. But you can also simply enjoy the peace and quiet, let nature inspire you, or bake your own bread or pizza in the old, perfectly restored bread oven. Culinary-wise, Umbria is much loved for its excellent wines (Lungarotti, Montefalco, Sagrantino, etc.) and its culinary specialties. Whether you’re a vegetarian, vegan, or meat lover, there’s something for everyone.
You can quickly reach city life via the highway, which is just 7 km away. If you’re in the mood for city life, the university town of Perugia (25 km away) offers a rich cultural scene: museums, movie theaters, and theaters. A highlight every year is the Umbria Jazz Festival, featuring international jazz greats.

Other cities such as Assisi, Spello, Foligno, Gubbio, Spoleto, Orvieto, and even Rome (150 km away) are easily accessible from Villa Bianconi. Very close by are the towns of Montefalco and Bevagna, which offer culinary specialties and excellent wines. Umbria is known for its medieval art, and every village has wonderful masterpieces to discover.
Mountain biking is a popular sport in Umbria. And if it gets too hot, the “Cascate delle Marmore” offer natural waterfalls to cool off. There are numerous kayaking and rafting opportunities on the Nera River. Lake Trasimeno, less than 50 km away, is easily accessible via the expressway and highway and offers swimming opportunities. Lake Bolsena is also easily accessible (75 km). The sea in Tuscany and along the Adriatic coast is just one and a half to two hours away from the house and offers excellent opportunities for day trips.
