Had higher hopes but very disappointed and not worth $500. No compensation was offered.
Liked the location and ease of access. Was spacious enough for four guests.
This property does NOT have AC. There is no where in the description that says they DONT have it. They have purposely ommitted it and does not say they have it. The heat was grueling and there are no ceiling fans except tiny one in main room. we had to ask for more. There was no wine opener, although there were wine glasses...? I had asked prior to our stay if they had certain grill and baking utensils, etc and they said NO to the grill but when we got there, there were some but we went out and bought them already... things were hard to find like the soap and things to wash dishes, no note to explain. no spices or even a real coffee maker. Not ideal for those that are traveling. The deck needs renovating, varnish coming off, old. When I booked, it said lake view but there was no view from the lake from where the photo was taken and where the seating is. The grill should be larger, can't fit much food on it for four people. Mosquitos pretty bad. There wasnt much to help that but they didnt leave anything like candles or sprays or much and the pit is down by the road from the house. we would have loved to use it but it was in mosquito heaven. My daughter and I slept in one of the bottom bedrooms and although cute, there were bugs all over the corner and ceiling. they were coming in from the outside. The walls were not sealed properly nor the ceiling. We got bit and had red bites on our back and stomach and legs. They looked very much like bed bugs or fleas but they passed them off as Noceums. I went to wash my laundry and cost $30 i had to steam my suitcases for risk of bringing whatever bit us back with us. I was not given any refunds or credits or anything. It was very disturbing, regardless of what kind of bug it was, it was not right. Not even an apology from the owner. Vacassa really shouldn't be the face of these rentals... it is impersonal and they dont care for your well being or concerns. Very dissappointed and will not recommend to stay there.
