Place is not really accessible from KL city centre and no shopping around the area.

The facilities were amazing

Everything!! The room was large and furnished with quality appliances, and soft furnishings. Everything about the room was quality; the flooring, joinery; the fabrics used on the furiture and the curtains etc. The view from my corner room on the 12th floor included the stunning infinity pool view and city skyline. I had a tour of the Chinese restraunt which was absolutely beautiful with it's private rooms and tea house. The artwork all around the foyer and to the bar and conference rooms is gorgeous. Every corner of the hotel provides relaxing spaces and is well thought out. The buffet breakfast area is ambient and relaxing, and the choices and presentation of food is exceptional. Can't wait to stay again.

Beautiful Hotel, But Not Quite Luxury Yet Our stay at the Hyatt Regency Kuala Lumpur was a bit of a mixed experience. First, the positives: the hotel itself is extremely beautiful and aesthetically pleasing. Our suite was huge, spacious, and very well appointed, with everything you would expect from a high-end apartment. The design is impressive, and the location is also good — far enough removed from the main city to feel a little more relaxed, but still close enough to easily explore Kuala Lumpur. The staff were consistently pleasant, happy, and kind, which we really appreciated. However, while the hotel looks and feels luxurious in many respects, the service currently doesn’t quite match the expectations of a luxury hotel. We didn’t receive a single meal that didn’t have some sort of issue, and even ordering something as simple as a coffee in the main café seemed unnecessarily difficult. A basic gin and tonic also proved surprisingly difficult to get right. We attempted to order drinks from the lobby to our room, but unfortunately, they never arrived. Housekeeping was another issue. On two occasions our room wasn’t cleaned despite us specifically requesting it, and overall, many things simply seemed to take a very long time. We understand that the hotel is new, and at times it genuinely felt as though they were understaffed or still finding their rhythm. One example was the pool: at 7:30pm, we were unable to swim because the pool closed at 8pm and staff were reluctant to let us in. There is also a pool bar advertised, but during our stay there was no pool bar operating. There is a lot of potential here. In fact, the hotel itself is beautiful enough that it feels like it could eventually become a fantastic luxury property. However, there is currently a noticeable gap between the beautiful presentation and the level of service being delivered. Some of the images and marketing also appear to set an expectation that the actual experience doesn’t yet fully meet.
