The location
Hazardous Entrance: The entrance to the property was littered with refuse and building materials, creating a hazardous and unsafe pathway, particularly at night or in dim light.
Persistent Heating Issues: The property was excessively warm, with the heating seemingly on permanently, even on cooler days. This made it very difficult, and at times impossible, to sleep comfortably. Although I contacted you about this and was advised to remove fuses, this was far from ideal, especially given that no fans were provided as an alternative solution.
Uninviting Entrance to the Cottage: The immediate area around the cottage was unpresentable, with a neighbor's washing hanging directly outside the entrance.
Unpleasant Odor: The property had a strong, unpleasant smell throughout, which made us feel uncomfortable. Despite our efforts to air out the property and use air fresheners, the smell persisted.
Hygiene Concerns: The fridge contained leftover food items such as half a pack of butter and a partially consumed bottle of Pepsi. This felt unhygienic and unacceptable for guest accommodation.
Privacy and Noise Issues: While I understand the property’s close proximity to neighbors, the bedroom was overlooked, and we could hear conversations clearly, even late at night, further affecting our ability to sleep.
