Bed Bugs, Dishonest Host, and Unsafe Conditions

Do not stay here. Bed bug infestation in the room. Under the wagon wheel table in the room you will find a massive pile of different insects on the floor that they do not remove between guests and when you enter there is spiders on the ceiling and bathroom with multiple flying insects by the lights, which we don't mind until we also discovered there was bed bugs infested as well on the beds.

Do not stay here. We were incredibly excited about the wagon experience, but it turned into an absolute nightmare. Upon arriving, we found our key taped to a door in an opened envelope which anyone on the campsite could have accessed but luckily it was not taken before we arrived. After entering the wagon we noticed a strange smell that we now know is a common odor of a bed bug infestation. The two people in our group who slept in the twin bunk beds woke up covered in bites. Those in the main bed were fine. We have since confirmed that these are bed bug bites. When we reported this severe health and safety issue to the host, they messaged us saying they will perform a "deep and thorough search" of the room and thanked us for bringing this to their attention, less than 10 minutes later they wrote back again and claimed they had just completed a "thorough, professional deep clean and inspection of the room and found absolutely no bed bugs" which is physically impossible in that time frame to do any deep clean, especially considering it will take you a couple minutes just to get from the main office to the wagon on the property. Instead of taking accountability, the host blatantly lied and included in their message they said, "encountering outdoor insects and wildlife is a natural part of the experience." Bed bugs do not live in the woods; they live in mattresses. Using nature as an excuse for an unsafe, infested room is entirely deceitful. When we asked on-site staff for help they did not speak English and were unable to assist us. Even after showing proof of our bites and the infestation in the room they refused to provide any support to us. Since the host refused to take responsibility, we have had to spend days isolating, bagging, and heat-treating all of our belongings at home to prevent spreading the infestation to our own house. The host is actively covering up a major hazard. Avoid this property at all costs.
