Nice apartment, poor maintenance and management

Location is excellent as walking distance to shops, cafes and train station.

The apartment itself is in a good location and has a pleasant layout, but the experience was significantly let down by poor maintenance and inadequate management. Issues encountered: Kitchen: Dishwasher contained dirty dishes with a strong smell upon arrival, plus no rinse aid provided which the dishwasher kept calling for. A saucepan in the cupboard had an inch of water in it that had turned to sludge. Oven provided but absolutely no ovenware, rendering it unusable. Bathroom: Ensuite toilet ran continuously throughout our stay due to a missing washer, and because the doors wouldn't close properly, the noise travelled throughout the apartment. Towels were extremely thin and worn. Bedroom: No top sheets provided on any of the beds. Bed linen felt synthetic and didn't breathe. General: Wifi was intermittent and stopped working entirely in the evenings - I asked for help but they weren't able to fix it. Dining chairs were shedding leather fragments across the entire apartment, so you couldn't help but walk it everywhere. We reported these issues. Whilst the host apologised, nothing was resolved during our stay. The apartment has potential, but needs proper investment in basic amenities and maintenance. I cannot recommend staying here until these fundamental issues are addressed.

As good as I could have hoped for.

The property was very, very spacious, extremely clean, very well equipped and comfortable. easy to feel “at home” quickly. Perfectly located for the purpose we sought: very close to the train station and Lindfield Cricket Club (the purpose of the visit).

Only small observation is that the key fob (that controls all access: to the garage; to the gate onto the estate; to the inner block and to all the lifts); has obviously been broken previously and repaired with tape. It is a little temperamental and often requires 2/3 attempts to work (particularly on the garage gate). Since the key is essential to everything access related, it can create a degree of helpless nervousness each time it is used. Small point thought.
