Poor communication, bad maintenance, and unsafe data handling made this one of our worst experiences
A spacious apartment for two people, especially considering that apartments in Japan are usually small 20 m² studios.
We booked this apartment in Naha for ten nights, but it was a very disappointing experience. The apartment looked fine in the photos, but in reality it had damaged walls, broken lights, and a constantly flickering room lamp. The rice cooker didn’t work, there was only one pan, and the sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable (very hard and uneven), forcing us to sleep on a futon on the floor. Essential items such as a teapot or toaster were also missing, making it difficult to cook during a long stay.
There was no reception, and communication with the manager was almost impossible. Phone calls and emails were ignored for days, and only after sending several messages did we finally receive a reply—five days later. They then asked us to send videos via WhatsApp to a Cambodian number, which felt unsafe. After more delays and no solutions, we requested the local office address in Naha to resolve everything in person, but it was never provided.
We later discovered that the apartment was managed by a local Japanese company, but all communication and check-in data handling were done by a Cambodia-based firm named Zapartner. This meant our personal information was shared abroad without consent, probably in violation of Japan’s data protection laws, creating a serious risk that our data could be leaked or misused for fraudulent purposes.
Another issue was the house rule requiring guests to keep garbage inside until checkout. Since we stayed ten nights and couldn’t contact anyone for several days, we had to keep fish waste indoors, which led to flies and even a cockroach.
When we tried to extend our stay, communication problems continued. After several days of waiting, other guests booked the dates we needed, forcing us to make a new reservation and pay another cleaning fee, even though no cleaning was done.
Overall, the lack of communication, poor maintenance, and unsafe data handling made this one of our worst experiences. I strongly advise avoiding this apartment.

Segnalo la presenza di muffa sul soffitto della camera, che mi ha causato irritazioni e problemi di respirazione per una settimana. Inoltre ti chiedono di tenere la spazzatura in casa fino al check out, cosa impossibile poiché dopo un giorno già puzza. Servizio di assistenza vergognoso, mi hanno rimborsato una misera parte e ho avuto una settimana da dimenticare. Mai più.
