Underwhelming

Caravan was clean

Arrangements to collect key unclear. Met by host in caravan, recording key hand over. 3rd party dealing with handover..... This handover was unusual compared to other bookings through Booking.com, felt host had had bad experiences prior and assumed the worst of us.

Crazy owner

The property was clean a nice size shame about the owner

After having a stressful day, all we wanted to do was relax at the Caravan We were told someone was going to meet us to handover the keys, but when we got to the Caravan, we could hear the Tv on! We wondered if we got the wrong Caravan we knocked at the door to be greeted by a very rude woman claiming she was the owner. She proceeded to talk on her telephone and left us standing there for a good 10 minutes She then got off her phone and showed me around, she then proceeded to ask me for identification and quiz me about Booking.com She sounded crazy and very stressed not the sort of person I like to be around also very unprofessional She then had a five minute rant about the Gas and if I proceeded to run out of gas during the night, basically it was SEAL Base’s problem and not hers and if I did run out of gas to contact the security guard She then walked out the door and shut the door without saying goodbye so I went to spend a penny and then she come back in. I need to talk to me about the Gas again. I explained I was on the toilet and then she walked out. it was very, very unprofessional and awful

Overly stressful and strange management

It was modern and free WiFi

Ben Called a few days before asking us for more money as he had made a mistake on pricing . Ben then hung up on me and then didn’t answer my calls although he was the one that called me when I asked about collecting the key , and he started offering me extra nights that I hadn’t asked for . The caravan does not have a private private pool , dressing room , sauna or jacuzzi as advertised . There were pubic hairs in the shower , toilet seat was broken , which the cleaner who later turned out to be the owner knew about and just took the lid of but didn’t fix it before our stay .

It was a lovely, clean lodge with everything you needed. Even had 2 x desk fans which were a bonus. The double beds were perfect for one person. At the edge of the park and very quiet. Seemed quiet on the whole complex which surprised us given being at the height of peak season. There’s a little fish and chips shop called ‘Box Fish’ where we bought fish and chips which were excellent! Sunsets behind the lodge are beautiful. We stayed at Selsey but explored the Wittering beaches and East Head dunes but there is a lot of interesting history surrounding Selsey. The shingle beach at Selsey was empty!! Didn’t even see and seagulls. It was a wonderful 2 day trip. Beautiful and peaceful. Would definitely stay again.

Nothing we didn’t like. It would be useful to have proper written instructions of where to find the lodge within the complex as it’s not clear and our signal wasn’t great and dropped out when talking to Ben the owner over the phone or WhatsApp whilst driving around.
