Swellnest

The property is absolutely stunning. New, well laid out and gorgeous view.

Bit of a hike up the hill away from the town but you get an amazing view out of it.

The staff were so kind and nice, every request was always answered positively. The facilities and the design of the property were cozy and beautiful

Also unbedingt darauf achten.

The view from our room was absolutely phenomenal and easily the best thing about the property. We also appreciated being informed in advance about the construction work happening nearby.

Unfortunately, quite a lot. Swell Nest is advertised as a four-star, but it feels much more like an overpriced guesthouse, with facilities and service that fall short of expectations. The sauna was one of the main reasons we booked, but it wasn’t working on one of our two evenings. When we raised this, the response was dismissive, with the manager insisting it had worked perfectly the previous day rather than investigating. Another member of staff subsequently confirmed it wasn’t working. There is virtually no sound insulation, so you can hear everything throughout the property. We were woken by breakfast preparations both mornings, making it impossible to sleep in. Thankfully, we didn’t have noisy neighbours, but I imagine this could be a real issue. We booked with a last-minute discount of around 40%, and even then it felt overpriced. I genuinely cannot imagine paying the full rate. Beautiful views aside, the overall experience was disappointing and certainly not what we had expected from the property based on the listing
