Avoid this apartment. No running water

On site parking

No running water. Property literally had no running water. Owner / manager was aware before we arrived - see the review immediately before us (that review was posted the day we arrived, so no prior warning). When I sent a message to the owner on the first night notifying there was literally no running water she tried to act surprised. Issue was apparently due to the fact that Hanioti has a lot of tourists staying in the summer months which puts a strain on the town water. However, I have previously stayed in Hanioti without ever experiencing this issue, including in August which is the absolute peak season, because other places have on site tanks / pumps for the sole reason to deal with this issue. Obviously this property doesn’t have any such measures to deal with the issue.. Owner / manager offered to move us to another town 30 minutes away which obviously was completely inconvenient given we were holidaying in Hanioti and not elsewhere. We were literally bathing and washing teeth / face with bottled water (which the owner / manager also offered to supply additional bottles to help out, which subsequently weren’t provided). Also, whilst secondary to the ridiculous water situation, the shower is only big enough to fit a small child only, the tv didn’t pick up any sports channels (as the satellite was scrambled) so I couldn’t watch any World Cup games and the mobile reception within the apartment is non existent due to “stone walls” (that’s what the owner / manager said) so whilst there is WiFi if anyone is trying to ring your phone they can’t get through due to no mobile signal. Last issue was lack of natural light onto balcony due to a large tree blocking sunlight which means that you can’t even dry your wet clothes (after the beach etc).
