Lovely location but the construction work, noise and lack of balcony ruined our stay.
Great location. Just a couple of minutes walk to the beautiful beach. The apartment was really nice. Beautiful view of the ocean when the blue plastic on the windows was finally taken down! Pretty beach decor. Pretty main bedroom and lovely view of the sea.
We were so upset and disappointed with all the construction work going on on the balconies, which I wasn't aware of until we arrived at the apartment. I didn't see anything on booking.com when I booked, and it certainly wasn't obvious. I feel like I was misled because the price was expensive, especially without use of the balcony. The rate should have been reduced. The rental company should have double-checked that we were aware of the construction work. They were just happy to take our money! When we arrived, we just saw blue light glaring into the lounge from the blue plastic all over the main windows and part of the main bedroom window. So, we had no beautiful view and no balcony to sit on and enjoy it. So disappointing because that was the reason why I booked it! I wasn't offered a refund or compensation, which was bad customer service. We also had four huge wooden chairs taking over the lounge, which should have been on the balcony. There was nowhere to put them. Drilling/noise started from 8am the first morning we were there, and we couldn't open our curtains to enjoy the view when the plastic was taken down on the fourth day, because construction workers were there drilling and painting. We had to keep the curtains closed so the apartment was quite dark. The construction work is apparently going on until July, but should have been finished months ago.
There were no recycling facilities. I barely see any in America so maybe they don't really recycle here, which is a shame.
