The appartment was just the right size, ground floor but with a view (on the top of the hill) and quite enough despite central location on Camino next to the Se. All the equipment was fully functional and well maintained, it was clean and comfortable. Very close to Sao Bento metro station (useful for my daily commute to i3S).
The 10:00 AM checkout was rather soon (had to store my luggage in a locker), but that appears to be a common feature in Porto unless one is in a full-service hotel.

In the hub of the tourist area and for those walking the Camino. Excellent location but not recommended for people who struggle with steep inclines.
I booked this accommodation based on two factors: proximity to the cathedral and the luggage transport company recommendation. However as soon as I arrived I learned that Guest Ready would Not store my knapsack for pick up transfer. This decision was made literally one day before I arrived. They kept telling me to call one of their Luggage companies’ even though I told them that I had already scheduled the transfer based on the recommendation from Correos. Utterly stupid. A complete disregard for the customer. This decision was purely financial on their part and caused me nothing but stress. Sadly they already had my booking fee otherwise it would have cancelled based on their very poor customer service. In the end Correos came through and I managed to drop off my luggage at the Pilgrim office next door! They say the Camino provides and clearly it does! It’s these small but important details that matter!
