We arrived late at night the place is very dark with dangerous steps leading down the pathway which is poorly lit. My mum is unsteady on her feet and the place had no other access more stairs to climb to apartment.
On entering it smelled of stale cigarettes not good for asthmatics the table was unclean the fridge was not clean the room with single beds had no sockets or side table with a lamp the curtains are not blackout curtains so you could see in.
The kitchen window had no blind or curtains up when looking out it was pitch black with no outside lights but anyone could see in.
The upstairs room as no door you literally walk into an open space two single beds not as advertised bare wires hanging out of the wall one socket no lamp
The double bedroom downstairs the wardrobe had no rails to actually hang your clothing the room faces the main strip that is very busy and you can see straight through the curtains the socket was hanging off the wall no lamps or bedside tables
in the kitchen we discovered the bin overflowing with someone else rubbish clearly not been cleaned the draw handle fell off two cups for four people with one unsafe to use minimal cutlery
The bathroom needs a good clean.
I had to message the owner regarding the issues and raised a complaint straight away with booking com baring in mind we arrived the property after midnight this was a lot of stress and up till 4am in the morning looking for a safe place to move to i had contacted the owner straight away no reply contacted booking.com no reply the owner was shown all the issues in the morning
She said stay for two days then I will move you I said no we are not being put in danger and staying in a place that was advertised wrongly and I want my money back she agreed it was a nightmare with booking.com and felt the lack of support was shocking.
I eventually got the money back but booking.com charged us to stay for the first night
We found a place who my son had visited before it was amazing
