The Cottage in the Cove is a charming 3 bedroom 1 1/2 bath home on Lake Norman. This warm and cozy cottage has been freshly remodeled while maintaining its charming character with exposed rock walls in the open floor plan living areas. This quaint area is calling you to grab a book, open the doors to the patio and relax into your own little reading nook.
**Currently, the water level is extremely low.**
This house offers three bedrooms upstairs located above the walkout basement living area. The full bath is located upstairs, which has its own double vanity sink with the most elegant marble countertops and shower/bath combination.
We didn’t forget about the view! This house has a lakeside deck that extends the full length of the home! If you call yourself a grill master, test out the propane grill and enjoy a beautiful sunset around the outdoor firepit or from your private dock. The flow of this house is perfect for a weekend getaway. At the risk of sounding cliché- this home is so homey; it truly does feel like a home away from home.

Overall, this is one of the best Vrbo experiences we’ve had in a long time. The host was communicative and helpful, the property was incredibly clean and comfortable, and everything was exactly as expected and described we especially appreciated how pet-friendly it was. Surprise win was the quality of WiFi for working remotely. Wed stay again in a heartbeat.

Clean, comfortable place with family lake house vibes. Sadly, it is not really lakefront at the moment due to drought. To be fair, the listing did say that the water level was very low but we did not take that to mean just mud, nowhere to swim or launch the kayaks from the property and no view of the lake from the house. Also there was loud construction at the property next door throughout our stay and wasps in the backyard. Again, not something the host can control but wish we had known about as it did affect our enjoyment. If I go to LKN again, I will look for a house on the main lake or maybe somewhere walkable like Davidson.

Cute cottage, great back yard, kitchen stocked well, beds are very comfortable. Very peaceful area with trees surrounding the yard. Definitely bring bug spray!

The house was lovely. Outside seating areas need tending, we couldn’t use the grill, and stuff was dropping in our drinks from the underside of the upper deck. We should have been told about the drought, we paid to be on a lake, brought kayaks and fishing gear to use only to find no water at our deck. I feel we should get a credit due to this fact! I would like to return but would definitely be sure to make sure there is water at our lakeside house.
