About this house rental
It can accommodate 2 to 6 adults at most, plus 1 baby. This is not my primary residence.
-Ground floor: kitchen: microwave, dishwasher, electric stove, refrigerator, storage room, restroom. Living room: with a large table, sofa bed for 1 person.
-UPPER FLOOR: bathroom (bathtub, sink, toilet, washing machine, towel dryer). One bedroom with two 90x190 single beds, a toilet, and a small closet. A large room with two 90 cm wide beds, one single bed 90 cm wide, and a cot available upon request.
20% discount on the second week.
You may not use the fireplace.
Renovated farmhouse (2015) with exposed stone walls. Naturally cool in the summer. The village and its shops are a 10-minute walk away. The Gorges du Verdon: The Sublime Point is a 15-minute drive away, and Lake St. Croix is 30 minutes away (40 minutes in summer). 4,000 m² of woodland: A field with cedar and fruit trees. Early in the morning, you can spot deer, foxes, and wild boars on the neighboring land a little higher up.
Parking available very close to the house with lighting. Panoramic views: countryside, village, La Palud Castle, and the Verdon Gorges. Quiet and surrounded by nature. Dogs are allowed; the property is not fenced. There is a friendly dog on the property (a Cross Griffon) that does not enter the sheepfold but stays in the house with the terrace.
Unfortunately, I cannot accept vacation vouchers or credit cards. “Orange” Internet is accessible from the sheepfold. There is an “orange” internet connection in the living room via the network. Wi-Fi is available in the village at cafes and restaurants and is now accessible to everyone for free, as well as at the Tourist Information Office.
ROUTES to get to La Palud:
-If you’re coming from northern France: Grenoble, then Cisteron, then Puimoison, then toward Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, then La Palud.
- Southwest: from Manosque, then Valensole, then Moustiers, then La Palud.
- Southeast: Nice, then Comps, then La Palud.

What a neat property with amazing views and history. You are close to the village center with plenty of dining options, and very close to the Gerges du Verdon. Sylvie was a joy to meet and very attentive to our needs. Book it!!

A week in February. The house was very warm, the wood fire was excellent. Pity Moustiers was closed!

Very private and atmospherique location, with nice views of the valley, in close proximity of the village. Strategicaly positioned for discovery of the canyon de verdon. Very pleasant and forthcoming owner. Many thanks

The gite is in an excellent location for cycling / hiking the gorge, with a lovely view over the village of Palud. However, the property advert is misleading and incorrect. In particular: there is no internet at the house, there are no sofas to relax on in the lounge (the advertised “sofa bed” is actually an old single bed under the stairs - not suitable for sitting on), there cleaning is not good - there was a used sanitary towel left in the bedside table! Overall, it is very dark inside the property (understandable as it is old) but it needs decorating, improved furniture (the beds were metal camp-style beds), and a bit of brightening up (eg take away the old brown pictures)
The owner is friendly, and dealt a problem with the electricity and water very quickly. The house also has good practicalities like a washing machine. But we would not stay there again due to the lack of sofa, WiFi, and poor cleaning.
