About this cabin rental
Beautiful cabin built by a local woods craftsman. Artistry is shown in the details of every room along with paintings from local artists. Enjoy the expansive fireplace which is the focal point of the living room. The extra large deck allows for playing many yard games while food is prepared on the large charcoal grill. Enjoy relaxing mornings with coffee in the hot tub, or a glass of wine at night, gazing at the beautiful stars that only shine this bright away from the lights of the city. Enjoy hikes on the property, a campfire, or travel to Story for wonderful meals, libations and entertainment. Great weekend get away to enjoy all things Brown County has to offer. Columbus and Bloomington are well within travel distance as well.

We had a fantastic stay at this little cottage in the woods. It felt like home after running around the countryside everyday. It was comfortable in most respects and had almost everything we needed. Air conditioning worked well but it is difficult to cool the back bedrooms. There was a fan to help with ventilation but it really needs to be cleaned...yikes! The kitchen was well stocked with what we needed, pots, pans, etc. The dinner table and setting were nice. The bathroom was recently remodeled and is really nice. Satellite service was nice with a very large subscription to ALL the channels! The hot tub gets hot and circulates well and is clean. The grill for clarification is charcoal and works well. The property owner communicated with us very well and made sure the driveway was repaired after the hard rains. Overall a nice stay. Is there room for improvement? Sure. The biggest concern is the deck...let's just say that personal injury lawyers would love it. Everything else are detail issues that just really need some time well spent and some TLC addressing.....minor landscaping issues would enhance the property 10 fold; screens fixed, screen door adjusted, maybe a deep dive on some detail cleaning. However, that may be; just that this is a cabin in the woods, not Shangri-La. It's on the rustic side, so expect rustic vibes. This cabin would be great for a couple or a small family; but not really for more than 1 couple or a large family.

We had a great relaxing stay. Cozy & comfortable cabin, kitchen had what we needed & a quiet wooded property! Cute cabin decor & easy check in /check out!

I contacted the host for the first night of our stay letting her know that the cabin was not well cleaned. She immediately defended her cleaning company and said that she had been there days before and the cabin was in impeccable condition. She asked for me to send her pictures of the uncleanliness of the areas. I immediately sent 10 pictures clearly showing cobwebs, hair left behind in the bathroom by past renters, light fixtures with caked on dust and tv remotes with corroded batteries. She never responded to me after I sent the photos. While the cabin was fine for our 3 night stay, I would not choose to stay here in the future. The cabin, in general, needs some major TLC and upkeep.
