THE DISTRICT
The Aurelio district takes its name from the same street, at the beginning an Etruscan area, then used as an area of cultivation, knows its development after 241 BC. It is famous for the many clay caves and furnaces that are remembered in local toponymy. As the years go by, the district expanded and, now a days, is considered one of the most beautiful and authentic district of Rome.
In this quiet neighborhood, day out you can shop or enjoy typical Roman cuisine, in the evening you can relax by strolling through its quiet streets or by having an aperitif in one of the many bars and clubs.

Lucia was responsive. The apartment was large, for Italy standards, for sure! Definitely the cleanest apartment I have ever rented. My socks were never dirty from walking around. It was an excellent apartment. My challenges were the tiny elevator was not large enough for luggage and a family of four and it was on the 5th floor, but we made a few trips and it worked out ,however time consuming. Another challenge was although the rooms were very well air conditioned and new units , the master bedroom one was leaking continuously so we had to tend to the water on the tile leaking with towels because it was running day and night. Lucia was aware and brought us extra towels in the room when we were not at home and left them for us. Also, 2 smaller showers were a factor but the water was perfectly tempered. I felt it was clean, well supplied, large, in a prime location for food, the Vatican City, taxis, and buses. About 6 city blocks from the square. 3 blocks from 24 hour taxis. The people in the building were friendly as well! It was far enough from nightlife where it was quiet . We had a wonderful time while touring Rome & the apartment was more than expected in a positive way. Yes, I recommend renting it ! Thank you again, Lucia, for hosting my family!

The unit is very very close to St Peter’s, which makes it very easy to get there early for tours. The unit also has amazing views of the Basilica. We would definitely stay here again. The host was also very accommodating and responsive.
