A bakery with fresh rolls and delicious pastries is just a few steps away, and several butcher shops, banks, a pharmacy, and supermarkets are within a few minutes’ walk. A great selection of restaurants, cafes, two ice cream shops, beer gardens, and bars are also easily and conveniently accessible on foot. Attractive shops, artisanal businesses, a movie theater, as well as the magnificent Baroque church and the proximity to the lake round out the perfect location of this vacation rental. A leisurely stroll through the charming pedestrian zone leads you to the lake promenade. Several steamboats dock at regular intervals at the steamboat pier in Dießen. The Südsee restaurant invites you to enjoy cocktails with a unique view of the lake. The lakeside grounds also feature a mini-golf course and a well-stocked kiosk. The adjacent sports field recently added a new skate park and a basketball court. Tennis courts, a soccer box, and several soccer fields are also available. The St. Alban beach, with beautiful old trees, a well-stocked kiosk, a small restaurant, and a swimming pier, is located at the entrance to Dießen and offers rest and relaxation with a magnificent panoramic view of Andechs Abbey and the lake. The Regio Bahn stops in Dießen. It runs along the western shore and takes you to St. Alban, Riederau, Utting, or Schondorf. If you’re heading to Augsburg or Schongau, you don’t have to transfer. In Geltendorf, connecting trains to Munich and the Allgäu region are available. The steamboat takes you from Diessen to Stegen, Buch, Holzhausen, Utting, Riederau, or Herrsching.
