About this house rental
We are located off of historic Gilmore Trail appx. 10 miles north of Fairbanks. Our cute 3b.r.- 1 bath home can comfortably accommodate up to 6 people and is perfect for anyone who is interested in exploring the Last Frontier at your own pace. We have a large deck located on the 2nd floor and a large front porch, both overlooking the historic Gold filled hills north of town. Great for watching the Northern Lights or enjoying the Midnight Sun! The kitchen has pots & pans, dishes, silverware, baking pans, cake pans etc. and we always provide, with our compliments, a food *'Starter Kit' with things like Bacon & Eggs & OJ plus a variety of condiments, salad dressings, spices, and more, plus some snacks & bottled water. In the freezer there are always a couple of pizzas! *(Gluten /Dairy free options available upon request with advanced notice). So much easier than trying to find a Grocery store before you've even had a chance to get settled in! With a little notice, we can pick you up or drop you off at the Airport or Train Depot. We are Pet friendly & have water & food bowls & a blanket for your fur babies. We live next door, so no matter what time of year you come to Alaska, we are always available should you need anything & we will do our absolute best to make sure you and your family & friends have a great visit! No matter where you choose to stay, whether with us or elsewhere, we hope you have a wonderful time in Alaska!

This was a great place to stay and recover from our jet lag. Laura and David were excellent, helpful hosts. We would highly recommend the Gilmore house, we only wish we had time to stay longer. The house is located several miles out of town, fairly rustic and only one bathroom, but if you are looking to be out of town for a little peace and quietness, this place is perfect.

The Gilmore House was a wonderful place to stay for a few days. It had a lot of history just inside the home to look at and read. The home being outside of town was also nice so as to not have to worry about loud noises, people, or traffic. Laura was very communicative before, during, and after our stay. She also provided a lot of suggestions and recommendations of things to do and see as well as good options available.

Great stay!! Beautiful views from every window! Very remote feeling and private!!
Hosts were fabulous! Very attentive when needed.
Very clean and organized. Snacks and some food in the refrigerator. Nice not to have to go out for breakfast, it was all there!!

The location was perfect for being close to Fairbanks but still removed from the city itself, enjoying some peace and quiet. We had a great time there with our two children. The host was quick to communicate with any questions we had and everything about the process was easy. Would recommend this spot to anyone visiting the area.
