This vacation rental in the Ariège Pyrenees could almost have been called “the lockdown cabin”—that’s where it all began. After a few months of renovation, “Lou’s Barn” was born, named in honor of Louise, my grandmother. Nestled in the Vicdessos Valley, this place steeped in history was once a barn, with its hay rack still visible on the wall and a hayloft upstairs for fodder.
