Welcome to The Trout House - brought to you by Rest & Restoration, a new kind of R&R. We protect and conserve all the land around our rentals, so when you rest at one of our properties, you’re helping to restore the land around it!
Trout Creek Farm is a nature lover’s paradise! It has 94 acres of the most beautiful land, with one mile of Trout Creek meandering through it. The property is bookended by two state WDNR fishing areas (Trout Creek Fishery Area). Trout Creek Fishery Area is the first named Fishery Area in Southwest Wisconsin and has class 1 brown and brook trout fishing. The property is also nearby to numerous other class 1 fishing areas.
Hike or cross-country ski on the property. Fish at nearby Birch Lake (which can also be hiked to from the property). 35 miles to Madison, and just a stone’s throw to Blue Mounds & Governor Dodge State Parks, Military Ridge Bike Trail, Taliesen & American Players Theater, Epic, Deer Valley Golf Course & Lodge and so much more. This is a lovely property with a lovely, big house. Beautiful views from every window! A large space for everyone to hang together or areas to be alone. We so enjoyed the pool and ping pong tables. We used the spacious kitchen every day for breakfast and snacks. I loved the eclectic mix of vintage and new furniture. We visited several small towns, which were nearby, for fun meals. The space just added to our happy vacation. Thank you, Jason.

Gorgeous lot, house is large with plenty of room. No Smart TVs in the home. We had a hard time finding garbage bags and paper supplies. We called Jason and he gave us the details to open cabinet. We had a tornado warning so had to shift plans. We had to get everyone in the basement for several hours, that included a dog who was in the car. Overall, great experience, weather turbulence was unplanned by nature.

Nice space for a Family or group of friends. Easy access to Driftless region activities. Nice kitchen with utensils for cooking meals!
