About this house rental
Spacious and newly painted decorated home with mountain views perfect for a launching point to enjoy all of Massanutten resort activities. Enjoy the modern kitchen, relax on one of the 3 decks, or walk to nearby fishing pond, golf course, and ice rink. Ski resort and tubing are around the corner and enjoy the gorgeous views of the slope from the home.
Enjoy privacy -- Home backs up to the National Forest and provided ample privacy for a peaceful mountain stay.
Plenty of room -- With 6 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms there is ample room for a great family stay.
UPPER LEVEL - The three upper level bedrooms each have large king size beds with brand new luxurious and cozy bedding. The master bedroom has a private full bathroom. There is another full bathroom with an extra room with a sink.
Fully stocked kitchen with granite counter tops, all new appliances., Keurig and coffee maker, waffle maker, all new dishware, cookware, etc.
Outdoor space with gas grill on back deck.
A large great room with 75 inch TV is great to gather and enjoy. A modern kitchen has everything you need.
LOWER LEVEL -- A large family room with 65 inch TV, football table, air hockey table.
There are 3 additional bedrooms and a full bathroom with a second vanity located on the lower level. One bedroom has 2 queen beds. Another bedroom has a queen bed and twin over full bunk bed. The last bedroom has a queen bed. Our home is steps away from most of Massanutten main attractions- golf, skiing, tubing, zip line, bumper cars, mini-golf, water park, pool -- as well as beautiful hiking and biking trails. A fishing pond and family park with playground in just down the street from the home. Our home is located on the mountain so the driveway is uphill. You can have 3-4 cars on the driveway. There is street parking right in front of the home. Please make sure you park inside the white lines

The house itself was described as in the listing. It's a beautiful home and if comfortable accommodated 10 adults and 1 child with room for more.There is a playpen to use. The kitchen was very well stocked as far as appliances, utensils, and other kitchenware. Also, the spice cabinet was pretty well stocked. There were a decent number of bath towels. You may want to bring your own if staying for an extended time frame. The house was decently clean.Access to the property was a little tough as it sits on a hill of about 50-55 degrees. If you go, you should drive an SUV or truck that sits high off of the ground. Also, they should really install a safety fence. It was scary going up and down the narrow driveway.We went in the intense heat. The upper level was much warmer than the bottom level; which was extremely cold with the air conditioning. However, there were plenty of blankets to use. There were TVs in nearly every bedroom and community area. The deer roam free and super cool to see them upfront in the rear of the property.Check in was super easy. The host gave excellent instructions for protocols like checkin, WiFi, trash disposal, etc. The host was also pretty responsive when contacted. The garbage. disposal wasn't working and they responded fairly quickly. We weren't able to get it resolved before we left, but that was not the host's fault. We were out and wasn't there for the maintenance person.

The house was clean and well equipped. A nice size for our large group of old friends. And there is lots to do in the area. The host, Lee, was very responsive. The major drawback is the extraorinarily steep driveway. It felt quite unsafe to us. We had 4 cars--2 Prius cars. The Prius have a low carriage that hit the steep driveway going up, even when we unloaded the cars. Drivers of two of the 4 cars in our group did not feel comfortable using the driveway. The driveway is the reason I would give this house a lower rating and would not stay there again.
