A short walk to Wrigley Field and Southport Corridor both filled with tons of shopping and restaurants as well as public transportation downtown. Whether you are coming for a Cubs game, concert or just to explore our beautiful city, you will love your time here no matter the season. A stunning well kept 2 BR, 2 Bth apartment. Really nice "apartment " below single family home. A little steep stairs at the entry, so not for anyone with mobility limitations, but not a problem for us. We stayed while there was a heat wave and the A/C was pumping! Thank goodness it worked well! For us, not really walking distance to Wrigley Field, maybe it was a 30 minute walk but not easy when you are unfamiliar with the area like we were. Good coffee house nearby which was a great way to kick off our mornings for sightseeing. It isn't common to find a 2 bed/2 bath in this area and it worked out great for us. Only area for improvement is the primary bath shower head could use a good descaling or replacement. Overall though, great place to call "home" while on vacation in the Chicago Wrigleyville area.

We were initially attracted to the location’s proximity to Wrigley Field while not being in the heart of Wrigleyville. Grocery stores were walkable and having two separate bathrooms was critical. One thing to point out was our inability to control the temperature. While it was a hot/humid day outside, coming back to a place kept at 66 degrees was great. However, after a while you did feel the need to bundle up or throw on a blanket. If you already run cold, just make sure you pack a hoodie.

We arrived after dark into the entry which is through an un-lighted narrow gangway between 2 row houses. We returned after dark each day, and it was difficult/unsafe to walk through the unlighted gangway, especially when carrying luggage or packages.
The apartment was generally dirty, and it appeared not to have been cleaned;. Specifically there was a dirty towel in the sink, items remaining in the refrigerator, and overall dusty and dirty baseboards throughout. Especially significant was that the oven and cooktop were so dirty and greasy that we immediately abandoned our plans to cook there.
One discrepancy from the original listing which included a coffee grinder, but it wasn’t there. We contacted the owner but he told us that he didn’t have one. We had brought un-ground coffee beans hoping to enjoy freshly ground coffee, but we ended up having to buy ground coffee at a supermarket.
On weekday mornings we were awakened at 5:30 am by thumps, footsteps and toilets flushing from the owners living upstairs. This is not seen as a good choice for renters who would like to experience a relaxing getaway.
This rental has positive features. Free parking readily available, upgraded appliances (Wolf cooking, Sub Zero refrigerator and a separate refrigerated wine case), and a nice master bathroom shower. Could be improved by cleaning, gangway lighting, and quieter upstairs residents.
