The hamlet of Riedji is located at an elevation of 1,515 meters above sea level. In Riedji, time seems to have stood still. The hamlet is a little-known vacation oasis. It serves as the starting point for numerous hikes and bike trails in the summer and snowshoe hikes in the winter. A place of healing where you can forget the stress of everyday life & relax perfectly. The hamlet is accessible by car in the summer, but the “village center” is car-free.

The apartment, built in 1891, has been lovingly restored. By combining traditional and modern building materials, an exceptional atmosphere has been created.
You’ll have access to a modern kitchen (induction cooktop, oven with steam function, refrigerator, dishwasher, washer-dryer combo, and a cozy dining table). A small sofa nook complements the living area.
The living room can be heated with wood using an old Giltstein stove (wood is provided free of charge). The bedrooms are equipped with box-spring beds, closets, and infrared panel heaters.
The hamlet is accessible by car in the summer. The parking lot is located 50 meters from the apartment.
The apartment is not available for rent from November through spring.

Too bad 5 stars is the most one can give. This property deserves 10. By far the most comfortable and best appointed place I rented on vrbo in a long time.A word of caution: it is very secluded with no dining or shopping options in walking distance. But then again, if you're looking at it shopping is most likely not your priority anyway.HIGHLY recommended if you're looking to relax in the middle of nowhere.

I absolutely loved the area that this stay is in. Beautiful landscape, beautiful property, and makes you feel very peaceful being in the mountains. I will say, we made the mistake of not coming to this location with a car but we were able to walk it from the gondolas.

We enjoyed staying in Lodge 1891 very much. It’s a peaceful, immaculate, tastefully remodeled property with many well thought out functional details and absolutely breathtaking views. Marina is an exceptional, personable and helpful host. I would love to come back one day and stay longer. Thank you!
