About this house rental
Princesa Sonia is a beautiful white house built in the traditional Lanzarote style—a detached home with a large private garden where you can enjoy Lanzarote’s wonderful sunshine. The home is elegantly decorated and offers all the amenities you need to enjoy your stay as a couple, with family, or with friends. Enjoy the beautiful sunsets from the furnished terrace.
Matagorda is a very popular area known for its tranquility, with beautiful beaches, a charming boardwalk, and a shopping center.
The house features a master bedroom with air conditioning, a built-in closet, and soundproof windows. This bedroom has a double bed. The high-end mattress measures 150 cm x 200 cm. Comfort and a good night’s sleep are guaranteed. Additionally, there is a safe in the closet for your valuables.
The second bedroom has two single beds and a built-in closet. There is a large window with soundproof glass.
The villa has two outdoor areas where you can enjoy the magnificent climate of the Canary Islands. In front of the living room is an outdoor dining area covered by a traditional-style white wooden pergola. The dining area and the terrace are connected by aluminum sliding doors. In addition, there is a large sun deck with artificial grass and a large tree. There are four lounge chairs and a beach umbrella. It’s the best spot in the house for sunbathing. There’s an outdoor shower, perfect for cooling off or rinsing off sand when you return from the beach.
The living-dining room is one of the best areas of the house. It is equipped with air conditioning. The TV is a 50-inch Samsung with Smart TV (Netflix, YouTube, Amazon, etc.). There are free-to-air international channels in various languages. In addition, some Spanish TV channels broadcast part of their content in English.
The bathroom has a white, walk-in shower with a large glass shower enclosure. There are shelves with glass racks for storing towels. Both the sink and the toilet are designer pieces from the Roca brand. A hair dryer is provided.
The kitchen is fully equipped so you can prepare any kind of meal. Small appliances and kitchen utensils are provided.
The house has an enclosed patio where you can do laundry and hang clothes to dry. There is a washing machine, an ironing set, and all necessary cleaning supplies are provided, including detergent and fabric softener.
Just a stone’s throw away are the beach and Matagorda Avenue. Beach towels are provided in the villa.
Right in front of the villa, there’s a small convenience store where you can buy bread, drinks, ice cream, foreign newspapers, and more.
We have a crib and high chair available upon request for families traveling with babies. Please mention this when booking.
We care about the environment just as much as you do, which is why the villa uses solar energy to heat domestic water. This way, we reduce energy consumption and work together to minimize pollution. Water is a very scarce resource in Lanzarote. Unlike other islands such as La Palma (Canary Islands), there are no natural water sources here. All fresh water is obtained by desalinating seawater through a process that consumes a great deal of energy. We encourage you to use water responsibly during your stay. Lanzarote is an UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve, and with your help, it will remain so for many years to come.

Great communication with host, a warm welcome and everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We have discovered that we love Matagorda and will hopefully return. Would highly recommend this property

Perfect relaxing week away. The property is 10 minutes from the airport, it’s simple to grab a taxi from outside the airport and get dropped right outside. There is also a taxi rank less than 5 minutes walk from the apartment so no need to book in advance for return journey. The instructions to find the keys and access the property couldn’t have been simpler. Jorge communicated each detail and it worked perfectly. The apartment is clean, well equipped for eating in, comfortable and quiet. There is a supermarket literally opposite the front gate (expensive but perfect for the initial basics) there is a cheaper Spar about 5-10 minutes walk opposite the beach. Location is perfect, an easy walk to the beach where there are restaurants, bars and some gift shops. I also booked a day trip and the coach collected me from the bus stop directly opposite the apartment. The terrace/garden area is perfect for sunbathing with the bonus of being able to pop inside for drinks/snacks or some cool respite from the rays. Travelling on my own it also felt very safe and secure with solid secure windows and doors plus a lockable gate on the roadside. I would recommend this apartment to anyone travelling alone, as a couple or a group of four. I wouldn’t hesitate to book it again if I decide to return to Lanzarote in the future.
