About this house rental
5 bedrooms / 3.5 bath home. Home sleeps 10 - 12 comfortably. It is the perfect location for get togethers for family and friends. The upper level open kitchen, living, dining area is bright , warm and welcoming. An upper level deck stretches across full front of house and has several rocking chairs and dining area. The home is only a short walk to the beach. Features of home: upper level has master suite with king size bed, tv, en suite bath, large walk in closet, accessible deck entry; 3 additional bedrooms on this level: two with queen size beds and one with 2 twin beds. There is a full hall bath for these three bedrooms to share as well as a half bath. On the lower ground level floor there is a large open room with two sets of bunk beds (sleeps 4), couch, tv, and game table. There is a full bathroom on this lower level. The outdoor shower is also on this level. The house has hardwood floors throughout. Additional features: 3 TVs, internet, 3 four - passenger golf carts, 6 bikes plus youth bike, well equipped kitchen with new cabinets, quartz countertops and stainless farm sink, beach toys, kayaks ( 2 single and 1 double), bogie boards, poker table. Pet friendly. See house rules regarding pets and pet fee. Bald Head Island Club temporary membership available for additional fee.
The home rents weekly, Sunday to Sunday, during the peak season. During the off season home is available for a minimum stay of three nights.
CANCELLATION POLICY. If canceled at least 60 days before scheduled check-in, Tenant will receive a full refund. In the event of a cancellation within 60 days of check-in and if the Premises are re-rented on the terms set forth in contract, then the Tenant shall receive a refund of all payments.

Hatchlings house is spacious, clean, and comes with every amenity one could want at this lovely island. Hosts were wonderfully communicative and accommodating. The bedrooms are located in a private wing, allowing for privacy and quiet from household activities, The lower level bunk room is large and was a great place for the kids to play, especially when adults wanted/needed adult conversation.The house is conveniently located near South Beach and the central commercial area. We especially appreciated having three golf carts so we could take advantage of the various island offerings that suited different people.The house was the fourth home built on the island in the 1970s and its “bones” reflect its lineage. It is not a new mega-mansion, but a spacious, relaxing beach house with every modern amenity.

Property was good and what we needed for our two families. It was awesome to have the 3 golf carts! The kitchen was very well stocked and organized however the appliances were old. The owner was very communicative however didn’t respond when I informed them that the ice maker and water dispenser were not working on the fridge and freezer. There was also a cracked shelf in the fridge so we avoided that shelf. The fridge definitely needs to be replaced but the house was good other than that and we had a really good time!

Second time staying here, and it is still as advertised. Clean, comfortable and a great central location on the island. The three carts are a great bonus with multiple families.
