Great place to relax with the family - especially if they’re into LOTR. Our kids loved it and the host was great. Very welcoming and responsive.

A more unique retreat in KY situated in the middle of nowhere along/near The Bourbon Trail will not be found. This hobbit/gnome themed outdoor resort is at first stunning and then you begin to realize all the work that must have gone into it and all the thought that went into the details/design. From the rock fountain, the hillside rooms, gazebo with swings and fire pit, hot tub room, and the extra large reception/game/common area, etc... it is all there, it works, it is comfortable, it is clean.
Words really won't do this brainchild of the owners justice. You have to experience it.
If we make it back thru the area on another bourbon trail road-trip, we wouldn't hesitate to stop here again.

Such an amazing stay! This property is amazing and they have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable as easy. Everything has been well thought out. The shower, appliances, lots of options to cook and the swim spa! Even chicken with fresh eggs everyday. The sunrises were amazing and the property is the perfect getaway to reset and relax! We enjoyed it all. The only thing I wish I had done was go to their website to book a tour! Used another service and had to drive versus getting picked up right at the Restin’ Hole directly. Pro tip: Should have gone to their site for more information first!!!Don’t miss this place!
