When we arrived, the house was not ready for our arrival. The ceiling in one of the bathrooms had collapsed with wet tile everywhere and both the bathroom and the bedroom next to it smelled moldy. The sink in the master bathroom did not work and the Wi-Fi did not work. The house had clearly not been cleaned prior to our arrival. I contacted the owner who basically told me there was nothing he could do and I should call Vrbo. Vrbo were not willing to reimburse me unless I could move into another VRBO property, but there was no other properties in the vicinity of where we were that were big enough for our group. We also had limited time to make the move, which I explained to them repeatedly. They did give me a refund in full, and we agreed not to leave a review, but I later learned that the owner left a one star review of me despite our agreement. We tried to communicate repeatedly with the owner, but they would not communicate anything helpful back. The property could be something special if it had regular maintenance and cleaning done, but since the owner neglects the property, the guests suffer.

Only because VRBO quickly assisted us in finding a new place to stay am I rating this place with 2 stars. The house had an enormous water leak. So badly that the dry wall was bubbled out and the ceiling tiles had fallen out - no one could have been to the property in WEEKS.The home was NOT clean. There were cob webs and rat poop everywhere - including the high chair that was left to use. It’s unfortunate that there was a water leak for the property owners, but I’m thankful we ended up not staying there because the property was not well taken care of.

I would have appreciated a cleaner place. Everything was extremly dusty, and the pots and pan need to be upgraded. It is a lovely place to stay it just needs to be updated and refreshed.
