About this house rental
Located next to Brimley State Park on Lake Superior. Open living room kitchen concept. The home has two bedrooms. The master bedroom has 1 king bed and the second room has bunk beds with double size mattresses. The living area is open concept with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. Washer and dryer and 2nd bathroom on bottom level. Beach access. Kayaks and canoe included. Free WiFi and cable. Grill and propane also included.

This was our second stay and hopefully not our last. This is a magical place that we’re so sad to leave every time. The house itself is immaculate, cozy, sunlit, and well appointed— an ideal home base for spending time in. It’s located near an abundance of U.P. nature attractions (and Canada!). The beach is a stone throw from the rental and the views from there are spectacular. We fell asleep to the sounds of waves lapping on the shore. The hosts are super friendly, welcoming, and responsive. If you’re lucky, you’ll encounter the two sweetest cats that roam the property and make this place every bit as enchanting as the sunsets from the beach.

Everything was great! We enjoyed the kitties on the property! Thanks for helping the boys out with kayaks and life jackets, they had a great time!

Although it’s been several months for me to leave a review, I clearly remember our experience. I still have pictures on my phone.
Pros: Our check in was very easy. Kristina met us in the driveway. The bed was comfortable, which is a huge plus.
Cons: Upon opening the door to the house the smell of pine cleaner was so over bearing we had to open multiple windows. It took a few hours to clear out. The house was nice, but we had a few issues. There was residue on the floor from the pine cleaner that was by the tv and I slipped and almost went down. Had to get paper towels to wipe it up and that’s how we knew it was the pine cleaner. The couch and chair was very dated and not comfortable at all. The pots were gross. The teflon was so scratched that we had to make our eggs in the microwave. The drains in the bathroom were very slow to drain. The sink and the shower were equally slow. Clearly an issue when you have to wait for the shower to drain before the next person. Definitely need roto rooter.
When we would leave at night we would leave the outside light on because it was pitch black. When we returned, the light was always off. The first time we questioned if we forgot but then after it happened again we knew we did not.
Although our trip to Michigan was wonderful, I would not return here or recommend it.
