Even though the unit is located on Borrego Springs Road, and you may hear some street noise, the bedroom is located far enough to allow for a restful evening. There are no stop lights in Borrego Springs and nighttime lighting is kept to a minimum to protect the views of the night sky. Borrego Springs is approximately 90 miles (140 km) from downtown San Diego and the lights of the highly developed California coast. Borrego Springs was designated as California's first International Dark-Sky Community by the International Dark-Sky Association. It is a center for public astronomy activities throughout the year.

The sofa and dining chairs are not particularly comfortable, and the bed is a bit soft for my taste, but the rooms are pleasantly decorated. This has been my third visit to this property where my dog and I have spent a Silent Fourth of July with the best light show in the galaxy! Everything is clean and tidy, the host is very responsive. The kitchen is adequately equipped for cooking light meals. And the Air Conditioning is COLD.

Great location: close to town and hiking trails, and under Dark Sky. There were perfect simple chairs to sit outside and look up at the sky.

Perfect for what we wanted. Good price. The host, Nancy, was very easy to contact when we had a question. We would definitely stay here again.
