We were a group of 5 adults (2 couples, 1 single). We appreciated the easy check-in, and the well-stocked kitchen. A few suggestions: more large mugs; a decent ice cube tray--the one tray was flimsy and cracked, difficult to get cubes out; a kettle that actually reaches boiling point (for steeping tea). The view of the lake with the morning sun was great. It would have been nice to have the patio doors open, but there are no screens, and too many mosquitos. The living room seats were not comfortable (other than sofa). Basic instructions on how the Nest thermostat works would have been helpful. We experienced some hot, humid weather while there, and the A/C seemed to be overwhelmed, and not very effective (perhaps it is undersized). There were two de-humidifiers, but one was full (with no instructions on how to empty) and one wasn't even turned on. This made the basement cold and clammy. One of the basement bedrooms with a queen bed was too cramped to get around the bed, which seemed to be lacking in sturdiness, so one couple opted to use the two twin-bed room instead. The stairs to the basement do not have a handrail. The basement rooms are tight, with few surfaces to put your luggage and things. We didn't want to put things on the floor down there as there were multiple beetles--we squashed about a dozen of them. The photos show a nice place, but close up, the finishing work is amateur.

It is a very nice place. If you’re out there to golf this is a great location! We golfed Neepawa, Minnedosa and Poplar Ridge. The lake house is well stocked with everything you need. They could use a couple ice cube trays and a round pizza pan. The front living didn’t have very comfortable seating and that’s where you want to sit to enjoy the lake view. Maybe replace that hide-a-bed with a more comfortable sofa unit. The lake was stinky so not great to sit on the deck if the wind isn’t blowing in the right direction or if the wind hasn’t blown the algae off the lake. In the basement, the switch for the ping pong room stays on all the time because that controls the septic tank. We had the loud alarm go off at 9:30pm and didn’t know what to do. That is a warning that the septic tank needs to be pumped out. We silenced the alarm but didn’t know the impact of doing so. The alarm is a warning so continuing to use water (showering, flushing the toilet) is okay but those details should be on a 1-page sheet included with the check out details on the clipboard in the livingroom so the guests are fully aware and don’t panic. The host Lourdes was wonderful to deal with and was very responsive.

The morning sun streaming through the windows coupled with the view over the lake was a pretty sweet way to start our days. We enjoyed the kitchen amenities to make meals. The short distance in to town was very convenient.
