The Windjammer Condominiums located ocean front on 46th street offer that wonderful retro Ocean City feel providing the perfect setting for a memorable visit to Ocean City, Maryland. This 3rd floor walk up one bedroom, one bath unit can sleep five with bed sizes including a king in the bedroom, and both a queen and double sleeper sofa in the living area. A one-of-a-kind family vacation destination, each unit is individually owned and decorated offering the guest a unique feel and comfortable stay with direct beach access and ocean views. Enjoy the exclusive private sand patio for grilling, picnics and play, free WiFi, flat screen TVs. Our condos are stocked and ready for you with towels, linens, cookware and utensils. Don't pass up on the chance to stay at your home away from home at the beach! This unit permits up to two dogs, 50lb limit for one pet or 70 lb combined limit for two pets. There is an additional $35.00 per day pet fee. Although pets are allowed all season, absolutely no pets are permitted on the private sand patio courtyard. There is a designated pet area supplied with waste bags just a minute's walk away. An on-site laundry room is available for guests at no additional cost from 9am to 5pm. Property rents any 3 nights in season and any 2 nights off season.

Our condo was beautifully decorated, very clean, and the location in proximity to the beach was fantastic. For anyone considering booking this condo it is on the 3rd floor with no elevator so definitely not great for handicapped or elderly unable to easily do stairs. Also sleeping arrangements are 1 king bed in a bedroom and 2 pull out couches. This wasn't an issue for us because we had more kids than adults and they certainly didn't care where they slept. Kitchen amenities were adequate. Overall a wonderful stay.

The Windjammer has a lot going for it, but several issues kept it from being a 4- or 5-star stay.The biggest positive is the location. The private outdoor beach area before the dunes is excellent, with grills, picnic tables, cornhole, and a swing. It is a great family hangout area. The condo was clean, the AC was cold, and it actually looked better in person than in the photos.However, the listing photos appeared to show two queen beds in the main sleeping area. That was not accurate. There was one king bed and a queen-size pullout sofa. The king bed was also loud, squeaky, and very uncomfortable.At 6:44 a.m. Friday, loud banging made it sound like the building was being torn apart for about 20 minutes. We also heard constant barking dogs, and cigarette smoke from people on the balconies came into the unit.We stayed on the third floor, and there is no elevator, so plan accordingly if stairs are an issue.While packing to leave, the entire front door curtain crashed to the floor. Central Reservations said it happens all the time in this unit, which makes it worse because it is clearly a known issue.The 3 p.m. check-in and 10 a.m. checkout also feels excessive.We booked because pets are allowed. If we brought our dogs to Ocean City, we might stay again. Otherwise, we would choose somewhere with more comfortable and accurately advertised sleeping arrangements.Overall: 3.5 out of 5.
