Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains along the Chestatee River, H&J Riverhouse is your ultimate rejuvenation destination. Just twelve minutes from historic Downtown Dahlonega and within easy access to the area's many wineries, hiking trails, and waterfalls, H&J is the perfect base camp for couples retreats, celebrating major family milestones, or reconnecting with the great outdoors.
H&J offers four, full-sized bedrooms on three levels and three and one-half baths, comfortably accommodating up to eight adults. The well-equipped kitchen and over-sized farm table invites lazy dinners at home and the screened in back porch is the perfect spot for an afternoon nap or morning coffee.
The backyard offers stunning rushing river views, 575 feet of waterfront trails, lounge seating, a fire pit for cookouts and keeping warm, and horseshoe pits for the competitive spirit. Just a short hike across the footbridge, The Overlook provides quiet reading and napping options under a huge natural rock.

Everything you need and more is provided at this lovely home. It’s the perfect spot for a girls weekend, family reunion or friends gathering for a weekend away. Plenty of room for everyone. Listening to the river on the porch with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine is absolutely perfect. You won’t be disappointed!

Wonderfully quiet, off the beaten path home in Dahlonega GA. Hosts were great to work with. The home had all the amenities you could want. Highly recommended!

The river literally runs through the back yard. This is such a cool property. While the house looks a bit old form the outside, it is very nice on the inside. No bugs. No smell. Everythign was super clean. The linens were nice. The kitchen is nice. And the screened in deck wiht big table overlooking the river is the place to be.

A very rainy weekend definitely changed our plans for hiking and playing in and around the river. A well stocked and very comfortable home made up for this and we were able to find plenty of things to do in and around Dahlonega. Hope to go back and experience it in the sun!
