***Property Overview***
Welcome to Lone Palm! Nestled in Gun Bay along the East End, Lone Palm is a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom award-winning home designed by renowned architect John Doak.
Location and convenience are key factors for guests who choose to stay at Lone Palm. The home is within walking distance from Ocean Frontiers Dive Center, La Casita Taco and Tequilla Bar, Big Tree BBQ, Vivine's Kitchen, and Eagle Rays at Compass Point. A supermarket and additional dining options are a short drive away.
The home's open-concept living area with vaulted ceilings opens up to a full-width oceanfront veranda. A private pool and sundeck sit beside the home with a white sandy beach providing great snorkeling. Lone Palm sleeps 8 guests across three bedroom suites and an upper loft area.
The oceanfront primary suite, with a king-sized bed and ensuite bath, features walkout access to the oceanfront veranda. The second primary suite is furnished with a king-sized bed, ensuite bath, and enjoys views of the pool deck and oceanfront. The upper bedroom suite comes with a queen-sized bed and a private bath with shower. The loft area features a sitting area furnished with a daybed and trundle bed.
Lone Palm is also often used as an overflow villa for larger families renting the Cayman Castle next door. Renting those two properties puts 950 feet of private shoreline between the two homes with 3 pools, and plenty of room to entertain while still maintaining privacy.

***Villa Cleaning & Sanitation***
All villas are cleaned and sanitized before each guest's arrival. We also ask our owners to provide a starter supply of extra cleaning products. Additional housekeeping services can be purchased after booking in 3-hour time blocks. Scheduling may be coordinated with your property manager upon arrival.
***Beach Notes***
All beaches in Grand Cayman are technically public since the Crown owns up to the high watermark. Be advised, the beach or water entry behind your property may vary slightly from the images displayed due to shifting weather and tide patterns. The next-door beach is also always available for your use. We advise guests to wear foot protection (pool socks or aqua shoes) when entering the ocean to avoid injury on coral heads, ironshore, or rocks.
***Ocean Debris & Sargassum Seaweed***
Beaches in Grand Cayman may also experience floating ocean debris and sargassum weed seasonally. Sargassum is a generally harmless floating seaweed that has increased in summer months. Our owners take measures to remove heavy sargassum and will have the beach raked before your arrival.
Should sargassum be extremely heavy behind your property, we will contact the owner for alternative solutions, which may include a partial refund or relocation. We try our best to work around Mother Nature.

The property was nice however the beach was unusable due to an excessive amount of seaweed and trash. The seaweed is seasonal so make sure you verify time of year if it could be a problem.

We have rented here three times. The home is located in an area that we like, which is far away from the busy side of the island. We love the porch, the pool, and the open floor concept of the house.However it definitely needs some updating and maintenance. The dining room table and chairs are old and the seats sag which makes it hard to sit up properly at the table. There’s very little lighting in the kitchen. The refrigerator which was broken three years ago still doesn’t make ice. There is only one floor fan, which is not in very good shape. All the doors and handles need a good deep cleaning they’re dirty looking and very tacky.I hope some updating will take place soon before I book our Cayman trip for next year, because this was one of our favorite places.Otherwise, I will be looking for a different house.

We loved our stay at Lone Palm. It was beautiful and everything we could have asked for! We loved the restaurants within walking distance and explored what the island had to offer. We definitely want to come back and enjoy more time here. We had a little visitor for a day(the neighborhood dog) she was very sweet and just sat outside watching us enjoy the pool, her name was Ash. We played a couple wiffle games on the side sand area which the kids really enjoyed! Would recommend this place for all to enjoy!

This is a beautiful house, with a great pool and covered hammocks. It will easily sleep 8 people which was the number in our party. But the main reason you rent a beach house is the beach and the beach here is terrible. The first 5 to 10 feet of beach next to the water was covered in algae and seaweed ever morning. Sometimes you could find a foot or two of sand at the water to take a "walk on the beach" but the first 60 to 100 yards of ocean was full of the algae and seaweed also so it was washing up on you as you take your walk. The management and different people we talked to said the algae flow was seasonal, but there was no mention of that when we were making the rental and there really should have been. We had four teenagers and they wanted to get the ocean, but not one full of algae. And I mean full, the first 60-100 yards of ocean was brown and past that was the blue water you see in all the pictures. We ended up having to drive the kids to the Seven Mile Beach area to find a place they could get in the ocean and have fun. Which was a bummer for the adults because we wanted to sit in the hammocks, read a book and drink rum runners - not drive for 45 min one way and then pay for rum runners so we could have a table while the kids played in the ocean. There might be a time of year this is the perfect beach house to rent but I would not recommend in July.
