About this house rental
This cabin is bright and airy with forest views outside every window! Enjoy the open concept living and kitchen area and retreat to the cozy bedrooms. The front and back deck are perfect for enjoying your morning coffee or evening dinner with family and friends. When you're ready for a hike or mountain bike ride, just head out the back door to hop onto Race Loop trail, about 100 feet from the backyard. This home is walking distance to the Village of Cloudcroft and Cloudcroft Brewery.

Wildlife Paradise. So many different types of birds are in the area as identified by our Merlin app. Deer and horses were present while we were there. For those who do the trails, there's one just feet from the back of the house. For those who don't want to do the trails, but love to walk, the cabin is in a neighborhood which is very walkable - in fact, you can walk to the town center very easily. There's a disk golf course within in walking distance, too. And, for book readers, the deck is covered, shady and a great place to settle in with a book.

This Cloudcroft mountain home fit our multi-generational family of seven well! It’s conveniently located close to Cloudcroft Village while also bordering the National Forest with hiking trails! The young grandsons loved the bunk beds & the games. The supplies for our baby grandson were wonderful! A favorite spot was sitting in the glider or at the dining table on the front deck watching hummingbirds or listening to the wind in the pine trees. Also appreciated was the “baby gate” put across the top of the front deck stairs for our dog, as well as the low fence at the back of the house. All the appliances worked well making it convenient for eating in or doing laundry. The only negative is that the original amenities list included AC, but there is none, so it was warm in the house by the late afternoon/ evening and hard to cool down in a warmer-than-usual late June in Cloudcroft. Opening some of the windows (some hard to open because they are weighted), ceiling fans in all the rooms, plus an oscillating fan in the living room helped move around the air. Perhaps box fans can be made available during the summer months to put in the living room, dining room, and bedroom windows to pull in the outside air. Ian did apologize for the inaccuracy of the AC listing and corrected it, so communication with him was great. Overall, our family enjoyed a lovely stay in Cloudcroft at this mountain home!

Property is as advertised. It backs to Lincoln National Forest with trails directly behind. We saw herds of Mule Deer, Elk, and mustangs literally out the back of the property. Easy walk to quaint Cloud Croft. Our family loves this property and we may rent again in the future!
