The authentic restaurants, central lake ferry links and breathtaking Villa Carlotta gardens of Tremezzina and Cadenabbia are 8-10 minutes’ drive away, whilst pretty Menaggio is 17 minutes’ drive away and the southern lake capital of Como (with its direct Milan train links) is 46 minutes’ drive away.

First, it was absolutely perfect for us in terms of location (quiet, with immediate access to the lake front behind a private locked gate). Think of it as serenity (and security) behind the gate combined with the least tourist traveled lake-front of any of the many cities we visited. It has easy access to multiple decent restaurants and transportation to other lakeside destinations.We enjoyed our day trips to the other more famous cities (Mennagio, Varenna, Belaggio, etc.) but each day looked forward to returning from the frenetic, touristy pace of the larger cities, to the serenity behind the private gates in Lenno. The property felt very recently renovated ("like new") and very underpriced relative to other properties. There were couple start up kinks (e.g. air conditioning maxed out cooling to "just okay") that will no doubt be fixed. I suspect this will become a very popular property!!

Very happy with our stay. There was a broken loo seat but apart from that the property suited us very well.
One thing though. There was no information pack at the property, advising things like how/where to access boiler (we had cold water only on our first night). Also the WiFi password information wasn't given and we had to contact the agents. A little note about this kind of thing would have been useful.
On the whole though, location was excetandbthe accommodation had everything needed for a lovely stay.
