About this house rental
A newer two story 3 bedroom 2 bath home located on a quiet street in the Bay Harbor Subdivision. The home has beach views from every room (200 yds from ocean). There are two large covered decks to enjoy the ocean views and crashing waves. You can enjoy sunsets every night from the back deck or get a better view from the 2nd floor deck. The home has a large living room with 10ft ceilings open to the kitchen. There is a 55 inch smart TV with high speed internet in the living room. The island in the kitchen seats 6 and there is also a small breakfast table for two. The kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances and quartz counter tops. The master bedroom has a queen bed on the main floor. The 2nd bedroom has a queen and the 3rd bedroom (the bunk room) has 3 twins, 1 full and a queen futon. The bathrooms both feature a quartz double vanity. One bathroom has tub shower combo the other is a shower. The ground floor is a great place to enjoy the ocean breeze or shower off in our outdoor shower . Down stairs has an 8ft picnic table as well as a grill. The neighborhood has two boat launches (great fishing), a fishing pier, and a pavilion. What we love about this house is that its a very quiet neighborhood outside the big city. Our house's unique properties are that its higher than most of our neighbors for more privacy and views of the ocean.

We arrived and checked in easily based on the VRBO instructions. Communication with Steven was excellent! The house was great. It cooled down well which is really important in the Texas heat! We used the grill, he even has EV charging for an extra fee if you need that! We would definitely stay here again. Nice quiet neighborhood!

The location was great, and the beds were comfortable, but the home is in serious need of a deep cleaning and maintenance updates.Upon arrival, we found hair throughout the house, including on bedding, countertops, and in the showers. There was leftover trash from previous renters, lint and debris on bed rails, and visible residue on one of the headboards. The bed linens were stained, heavily bleached, and appeared worn. The downstairs toilet seat was deteriorated and should be replaced.The walls had food splatters, scuff marks, and signs of neglect. The blinds were very dusty, and the kitchen sponge had a strong odor and should have been discarded before guest arrival. Clothes were left in the washing machine, which may have contributed to the musty smell throughout the home.The air vents contained heavy dust buildup that appeared mold-like. Several cabinets had odors and contained dead insects, and we also noticed ants during our stay. Some cookware was rusty and should be replaced. The storm doors were broken, although this may be due to coastal weather and high winds.The house took a long time to cool down, making it feel humid and stuffy at times. A broom and dustpan would also be helpful for guests. We even had to purchase wax for the warmer provided in the home.With a thorough deep cleaning, pest treatment, fresh linens, improved cooling, and general maintenance, this property could provide a much better guest experience.

We had a good time. A few things would have made our stay more comfortable such as matches or a lighter for the BBQ, coffee, and some kitchen items like ziplocks, tinfoil etc - for leftover food storage. It does need some updating in the way of house maintenance- the entry way flooring was missing with an attempt to cover it with a rug. The walls need painting as they were scratched up and dirty and all the TV cords were hanging down the walls and exposed. Despite these things, my kids had a great time and have asked to go back again.
