This historic, listed villa offers a peaceful setting, enchanting views, and three charming vacation apartments. Over a hundred years of eventful history have shaped this country house in Oberbärenburg. The renovation project focused on preserving the charm of the historic spaces while creating a light-filled, livable structure in accordance with modern and ecological standards. The room names “Swallow’s Nest” and “Kingdom of Heaven”—drawn from the past—along with “Top Dog,” a synonym for the villa, now serve as a bridge to the three vacation homes, which can accommodate up to 3, 4, or 5 people and a total of 12 happy vacationers!
This popular vacation rental is located on the first floor and captivates with its magnificent view from the balcony and veranda. With 50 square meters of space, guests can expect a hallway, a bright living room with a veranda, a kitchenette (recently updated with a kitchen island and dishwasher), a bedroom with a double bed, an adjoining small bathroom, and the balcony. From the balcony, you can enjoy the view down into the valley from one of the most beautiful spots in town—just like from a swallow’s nest!

Manjana and her family were very gracious hosts. They were extremely accommodating and have the best dog to see after a rough day of sledding. I will recommend other teammates and friends/family to stay here for years to come!

We spent a week at house Marie, a beautiful original "Fachwerkhaus' that the owners have restored. As the house is located on a hill above the village of Oberbaerenburg, the apartment offers a phenomenal 180 degree 30 mile view of the surrounding forests. The location is as beautiful as it is quiet - a great place to relax. The host family is very helpful and friendly and will make you feel at home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to another visit in the future.
