We enjoyed Good Times cabin. The gameroom consisted of a foozball table and the kids did enjoy that. We spent a lot of time on the upper deck and it kept us dry when it rained. There was nowhere for clothing storage during our week stay in the king bedroom so we switched to the mid-level bedroom. We did have to take bedding out of the drawer, but we just put those in the closet and replaced them when we left. There are minimal (I think 2) hangers in the upstairs and mid-level so bring hangers if you like to hang your clothes. The kitchen was full stocked with things we needed to cook meals. The limited stock of supplies like toilet paper, paper towels, etc was sufficient enough until we had time to get some from the store. It's a very quaint little cabin. The 2 matching chairs in the living room were not the most comfortable and we had a house full so we spent a lot of time on the porch. The house sleeps 8, but there was only enough space at the kitchen table to seat 4, so we ate a lot of meals on the deck. We did have to use a couple of the plastic chairs to accommodate all of us and it did not sit the best as you had to sit on the edge of the chair and couldn't sit back. It was wonderful to be able to do laundry here (we did being our own detergent and dryer balls). We had a wonderful trip and hope to visit again.

Nice, reasonably equipped cabin. We had a great time on our vacation.
The basement has lots of room with the extra bedroom and foosball table, laundry room with a sink and fridge, and the bathroom. Decent kitchen with quite a few but somewhat random pots and pans. The upstairs bedrooms are a bit cramped but lots of room elsewhere and very nice porches on the first two levels. The propane grill works but is not very even. There is a charcoal grill but it was so rusty I was afraid to use it.
The property manager was very easy to contact and helped us out when we ran into a bit of an emergency the day we were supposed to arrive.
A small warning that there is absolutely no sound isolation between any of the upstairs rooms. The basement bedroom is the only one with privacy.

This was a good property, and we did like it…mostly. It’s close to downtown Boone, which is one of the best parts about it, in our opinion. But there are a few other things to consider if you are looking at this property for a stay.
1. It needs a really good cleaning/dusting for cobwebs, which were in abundance (especially on the 2nd floor). It wasn’t filthy or anything, just hadn’t been polished up in a while. There were little areas that hadn’t been touched in some time. It wasn’t disgusting or anything, just not what we’ve experienced in other well rated VRBO’s.
2. We were trying to get some work done (yes, I know, while on a short getaway. Please don’t judge too harshly.), and the Wi-Fi kept going out regularly. We were able to fix by unplugging the router and plugging it back in. If this isn’t a concern of yours, no worries.
3. Stay here for closeness to town and not seclusion. While it is a few hundred feet from the neighbors, you definitely know they’re there. A neighboring dog likes to bark most of the night, which kept us awake. Ear plugs solved the problem, and I certainly won’t hold the property owners accountable for someone else’s behavior. But again, just something to consider.
4. It’s tighter than it looks. The bathrooms and bedrooms are very utilitarian and functional, but I wouldn’t say my 6’-5” frame was able to stretch out. We definitely had some bumps on the head from the upstairs bedrooms.
All in all, it’s a 3-3.5 out of 5 stars for us. It is bad, but certainly doesn’t warrant the 4.5+ rating. But I truly hope our experience was the exception, and that if you and your family choose to stay, that it’s everything you could hope for and more.
