About this house rental
Built in 1782 and carefully restored, Casa El Carretero combines more than two centuries of Spanish colonial history with the comfort of a modern luxury home.
The house
Four bedrooms are spread across the house. The master suite, the Bora Bora Room, is on the first floor. The Java, Bali and Sumatra Rooms share the second floor. Every bathroom has hot water, and Wi-Fi reaches every corner of the house.
On the roof, a private pool looks out over the tiled rooftops and church domes of Cartagena. It’s the perfect spot for a sunset drink.
Effortless stays
Our full-time staff takes care of every detail, so you can simply relax. Each morning, start the day with a freshly prepared breakfast in our colonial dining room (available for an additional fee per guest).
Beyond the walls
Spend a day on the turquoise waters of the Rosario Islands aboard our private boat, available to guests for an additional fee.

We loved our stay at the casita! The manager Isolina was so incredibly helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. The rooms are beautiful and clean. The rooftop is amazing. I highly recommend!
