La Faurie is a beautiful old farmhouse in the hart of the Perigord Noir and it can surely make your holiday very pleasant. Renovated with lots of taste, situated in a very quiet area, with beautiful views all around. Surrounded by meadows and forest. The farm has a square garden with old trees for shadow on hot days. It has a privat swimmingpool

We had a fabulous week at La Faurie. The location is ideal - quiet and surrounded by beautiful farmland but also within easy walking distance of the village where, among other amenities, you will find a very well appointed local bar/general store.The house had everything we needed and wasn’t too hot at night, despite the heat wave. The pool was a good size and fenced off so safe for kids. It was great to be able to wander in the surrounding fields, especially at sunset. We couldn’t fault anything but if we were forced to list any regrets it would be that we couldn’t stay longer and the coffee machine wasn’t great, but other than that we had the most amazing time and we hope to return next year if you’ll have us!Thank you Mathilde et Chloe!Best wishes, Kerr, Dani & Douglas

The property was gorgeous, clean and the pool was stunning. The kitchen was well equipped. We had a lovely family holiday.
Just a couple of points to note.
The beds were very very firm, to the point of being uncomfortable. Firm beds are not for us.
The listing said hot tub. We hadn’t seen one in the pictures so guessed it was a mis-print, but to confirm there is no hot-tub despite it being listed.
The WiFi did not work at all. We called the host who was very good and came straight away but could not fix it. It did not get fixed the entire week we were there. You are in the countryside in an
old house so mobile data signal was patchy to non-existent within the property. This can be frustrating when planning days out (or when you have teenagers.)
We had a lovely holiday and visited some gorgeous locations in the region. The property was private and clean.

Beautiful country property with amazing views!

The cottage was beautifully restored, set in stunning and tranquil countryside with glorious views. The size of rooms was good, beds were very comfortable and the pool area was lovely. However we were very disappointed that the second 'bathroom' was in fact a shower and toilet in an outside storeroom. The house had inadequate lighting for reading and cooking in the evening, the dining seating was uncomfortable, the pillows need updating and there needs to be more of them. The pool pump mechanism was extremely loud and one day after it had been going for 6 hours we had to insist that it be turned off which the owners did but reluctantly. We were also shocked that we were expected to clean the house thoroughly ourselves prior to departure or pay a cleaning fee. We paid the fee and were still expected to strip all the beds. None of this was made clear on the website. We still really enjoyed the holiday although we felt that the house was quite basic and not good value for money and is not suitable for couples and friends. We have stayed in many properties in other parts of France and all over Europe spending a similar amount of money but experienced a higher level of comfort and facilities. I feel strongly that the information provided on the website needs to be more accurate to reflect the situation of the bathrooms and the cleaning fee.
