The cowboy pool is a seasonal cowboy pool rather than an in-ground pool, and it is drained and unavailable November through March; the hot tub and sun loungers sit alongside it for soaking up the sun or stargazing. A fire pit and propane BBQ round out the evenings, and 5 acres of open desert surround the home. The property is not fully fenced.

Inside, sleek modern finishes meet warm boho design. The living space has a smart TV with streaming apps, and split system heat and air conditioning keep it comfortable year-round.

ShangriLa has two bedrooms, one with a king bed and one with a queen bed. The bedroom's patio doors open directly to the deck. The home has one bathroom, with a soaking bathtub.

From ShangriLa, the day can go to Joshua Tree Village, the Integratron, La Copine, Joshua Tree National Park or Pioneertown and Pappy & Harriet's. Out on 5 acres, the nights are quiet and the stars are bright.

Other Things to Note:

-Cowboy Pool-

The pool at ShangriLa is a cowboy pool, not an in-ground pool. The cowboy pool is drained and unavailable for guest use during the winter months (November through March) to prevent the filter from freezing and breaking.



-House-Specific Rules-

► Please keep music at a reasonable volume and turn it off by the start of quiet hours.

► Please avoid using the hot tub immediately after it has been serviced, as chemical levels are higher than usual for a short time. Please rinse off oils and lotions before entering, keep the cover on when not in use, and no drinking in the hot tub, please.

► Weddings and events are by inquiry only and are subject to permits and applicable law.



-Pool and Hot Tub Service-

The hot tub and cowboy pool are serviced Wednesdays, approximately between 9am and 4pm. Please note that these times are estimates and may change slightly due to our technician's busy schedule. He will not approach the house but will go directly through to the backyard.



-Pet Policy-

We welcome your dogs! There is a $100 per dog per stay fee, limit of 2 dogs maximum. Please note on your reservation how many dogs you are bringing. There is an unauthorized pet fee of $500. Please use the provided dog sheets before allowing your dogs on any furniture. Cats and other pets are not allowed due to the owner's severe allergy.

The desert landscape is teeming with wildlife and natural beauty, offering a unique connection to nature, but it's important to be mindful of the creatures and plants that call this area home. Guests may encounter a variety of wildlife during their stay, and while direct encounters with dangerous animals like coyotes, snakes, scorpions, bobcats, mountain lions and other desert dwellers are rare, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to keep a safe distance from these creatures when spotted. Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, pets, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. Dogs should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants. By booking this property, guests acknowledge the potential for wildlife encounters and assume responsibility for their safety and the safety of their group. By respecting the local environment and staying aware, you can fully enjoy the magic of the desert.

For your security, there is an exterior camera located at the driveway, which monitors vehicles and occupancy. There are no cameras inside the home or facing any private areas, including the cowboy pool and hot tub areas.

Cell phone coverage is available at the property, though reception can vary by carrier.



-Damage Waiver Policy-

Each reservation requires either a refundable security deposit or a non-refundable damage waiver.
